How much does a day of skiing cost for medium-sized mountain railway companies?
The daily costs in winter for large ski areas have already been determined in a study in 2015. Using the examples of the Swiss ski resorts PIZOL, SÖRENBERG and MEIRINGEN-HASLIBERG grischconsulta has now calculated the situation for medium-sized mountain railway companies.
The analysis shows that ski resort operators spend between 49’000 and 77’000 Swiss Francs per day. In comparison to the large ski resorts, the medium sized ski resorts have proportionally lower costs for “going down” (25% compared to 40%).
